Soft coloured light, like the gentleness of grace and the Holy Spirit, falls on this carved depiction of the Annunciation. As we come to the 4th Sunday of Advent, the Liturgy turns to Mary, who, in openness to God’s grace was prepared by God to be the dwelling place of our Redeemer in her womb. May we too be opened by grace to receive the Word, for God to dwell in us through grace, and to give birth to Christ through charity in our lives.
